What Is Stone Alternative?
A high-density foam panel, moulded and painted to mimic the texture and look of natural or cement stone, used to cover a whole wall or part of one for a premium look without the cost or weight of real stone.
Materials and Why It Is Lighter Than Natural Stone
It is made from compressed PU foam moulded to mimic the detail of natural stone, then hand-painted in varied shades for greater realism. It weighs no more than a tenth of the equivalent natural stone, which removes any need for structural reinforcement of the wall.
Installation Method
It bonds straight to the wall with an adhesive made for foam, with no cement or mortar as real stone requires, and it cuts easily to fit around electrical outlets or wall corners.
Stone Alternative vs. Natural Stone
Stone alternative gives you almost the same look for a fraction of the cost, weight and installation time, but natural stone remains the better choice for exterior facades exposed to harsh weather over the very long term.

Does the stone alternative actually look like natural stone?
Yes, thanks to precise molds and multi-layer hand-painting techniques, it is hard to tell apart from real stone at normal viewing distance indoors.

It is preferable to use it indoors or in covered exterior areas not exposed to direct rain and continuous strong sun, to preserve the finish color for as long as possible.
How much does a single panel weigh?
It is noticeably lighter than the equivalent natural stone, which allows it to be installed without additional wall reinforcement.
Does the stone alternative require a protective coating after installation?
It is usually not needed because the finish is factory-final, but a clear varnish layer can be added in areas exposed to frequent touching such as corridors to extend its lifespan.
