What Are SPC and Laminate Parquet?
A modern alternative to natural wood parquet and ceramic tiles, built from compressed layers with a top layer that mimics natural wood grain in fine detail. It resists scratches and water, and installs over your existing floor with no demolition.
Materials and Panel Thicknesses
Available in thicknesses from 6 to 12 mm; the thicker the panel, the better the sound insulation and the more durable it is under heavy furniture. Chinese SPC panels offer higher water resistance, while German panels are known for colour accuracy and dimensional stability.
Installation Method
Installation uses a click-lock system between the planks with no glue, over a foam underlay that insulates against sound and moisture. It can be laid straight over existing tiles, and an average fitter completes 40 to 60 square metres a day.
